on a lightning how is the windshield held down , do you have to take the frame apart and glass out ?

From the outside, around the base of the windshield "frame" is a foam piece that is stuffed into a recess. Pull that foam out and there will be a number of screws that go down into the top deck. I'd say there are 30-40 of them. Word to the wise, be careful with your screwdriver as the angle of some of these makes it difficult to get in or out without scratching the frame.

When reinstalling the windshield use a small piece of flashing between the frame and your screw driver to keep from damaging the frame.mark all your rubber parts and keep port and star seperate will make it easier ...
