95 42 fountain lightening speeds
 

i have a 1995 42 foot fountain lightening that i am about to put 2 525s in it. innovation marine told me they should be making around 525 to 535 hp a piece. what yall think the top speed of the boat will be when they are installed. i have 28 pitch 4 blade brovo props but can re prop boat if have to. also has shorties for lower units.

My father has an 07 42 light with merc 525's. Solid 80 mph gps boat.

His is heavy with genny, a/c and heat, and lots of fuel. Standard lowers also.

the 07 is staggered and has a step hull mine doesn't i was expecting mid 70's

It should run 80 plus but your going to have to change props.

what props do you recommend

My suggestion would be 27p Hydromotive 4 blades, assuming u have 1.50 gear ratio
