How fast is a 32 footer with twin 600 hp engines.

I know you know your stuff and not knocking you. But how can a boat that normally runs 76-77 mph with 502MPI's and 496HO's run a 100+ with 600's? I would guess 90-92 as an everyday number. I find the 100+ very very hard to belive.

ive been in one with close to 700's that ran 103... lightened up a bit.
I saw the one with merc 600's up here not to long ago and as a 32 lover it was an amazing boat.

There's a friend here locally that has a 32 with 600s that runs 100 plus. The boat runs 78-80 with 502 mpis. Just to 600s that's 400 more HP. That's is worth about 20 mph. That jumps you to 98-100. And he also runs imco -3 in lowers & hering props which takes it to 100 plus.

my 32 with 502 carbs runs 75 mph, my friends 32 step with 500efi runs 88-90 all day long, Im sure 600 would be really close to 100

Huh? I have the same setup stock lowers 28 hydro's 83 maybe 85 gps.

What props is he running?

Would a 97 model be that fast. I figured a newer one would be.
