Anyone know the red 89 fountain for sale in the classifieds? Anyone seen it in person? What do you guys think of the boat? I wish it had steering stabilizers, but the price is really good. Any thoughts would be great

I looked at a single 500hp with a crack block and they wanted $14k for it. Seems like a decent deal even with small blocks.

good deal small engines. But you would probably still do 55-60 and save on gas. But good luck on resale.

With All The Boats Out There For Sale With Big Blocks Why Would You Be Looking At A 29 Footer With Small Blocks If It Wasn't For The Price. The Guy Only Wants $12500 For The Boat. The Power Is Worth That Much. You Get What You Pay For.

Your right but you wont find another 29 for less than 25. So I guess it depends on what you want. Not everybody has all the money in the world. and 12k to get you into a fountain that still going to burn 55-60 is not a bad gig. Sometimes ego buying is not the best option. But at the same time its like buying a corvette that had v6 replaced into it.

I can't believe this boat has not sold. Such a great deal on a fountain. As long as it has no major defects. How could you go wrong? looks lik a fun boat.. Hope you like red !. You can always bolt in a set of 500'S

Not with the drives she has on her alphas wouldn't take it! Im up here in mass if any one wants me to take a look at her!

I will try to make contact with the guy and find out when I can see it.. As for Alpha drives its a power/tork and weight thing , they tolerate small blocks better than big blocks and tend to stand up better as a twin engine setup,On that boat about 300-350 hp each, I will give you a call when I make contact..

I sent a Email to him, the pis of the boat look like they wer taken in several locations palm trees in backround, Hess station in background (we dont have those up here) and the name on the back Norforlk VA, I do think the boat is real and is in Mass I saw it on Boston CL over a month ago..

If that boat was local i would have bought it already...I saw it listed a few weeks back..just cant waste a day and night going to look at it,,,

I'm pretty sure its the one i saw at a lot in Ft. Myers Beach

Right now I got Lil Reggie Fountain interested in my boat. If this guy is not willing to pay $15,000 for the package, he's wasting his time and yours. The boats in peabody, ma at my house if you want to look at it.

thanks....I bought the engines off a guy and had my engine builder go through them....all the good stuff is there 010 blocks, bowtie heads, steel cranks, forged slugs, 750 DPs.....my guy said the cams are pretty mild....theyre all done by 4800. They make around 330/350hp depending on gas/timing....I should have went with hotter cams, reved them to 55 or 6 and made around 420hp and had a 29 with screaming small blocks....still could but Im looking to move up.....D
