I don't know about you, but while it may be fun, I dunno if its THAT fun.

Just for fun any guys with boats like this.....how much would you spend in todays fuel prices for a day of hard running...like in a Poker Run?

and dont bother with the "if you have to ask...." junk

I remember reading the owner of the Smokin Joe 43 Scarab with trip 900s spent something like $50,000/yr on fuel and that was years ago.

I'm sure Sunday will be around $900 with the prices they get up here.

Better not ba any more than that cause that's all the change I got in the console of my truck. :coolcowboy:

But I just have those little engines.

An engineer who has started, owned, and/or been a principle in 7 different technology companies. So both.

The most i've ever spent on fuel for the season was $8800
Even if that 47 doubled that....it would be worth it.

47 lightning 10-05-2011 01:44 PM

the cheapest part of owning a 47 is the fuel .but would not have it any other way .had the 38s and 42s my fuel consumption at 60 mph is 90 gal per hr at 3500rpm 3x800 sc
