first fountain have a couple questions
 

97 fountain 29 twin 468. at 80 mph the boat seems very light and dances around it looks like the motors are not perfectly parallel, could the be the reason it dances? im turning a set of bravo 1 28 pitch props 80 mph = 5100 rpm's id like to change the props to get more speed with a lil less rpm. im seeing more and more boats that have one motor and run as fast or faster than mine with two almost concidering selling it and get a fast single.

Do you mean the actual motors or drives?

the drives are not parallel . if you turn the port side were it is straight it looks like the starboard side is pointed to the starboard side a lil bit im not talking huge but just a lil bit.

The 29 twin is a fun boat. They are extremely fast.

simple chine walking...what are your tabs set at?

all the way up the indicators show 3.

if the tabs are all the way up they shouldn't indicate 3 on your gauges, it should read zero..

if your gauges read "3" typically your tabs will be slightly above level and could cause chine walking.....

go out again and slowly drop your tabs down until the chine walking stops....usually about 3 1/2 to 4 on your gauges....you may loose a little speed but will give you a stable, level ride.

Many years a go I had a 91 29 with twin 454 it would run a solid 76 with at that time 25 pitch 3 blades. This boat is a drivers boat which means you have to keep the steering wheel moving back in forth when it starts dancing and this will elminate chime walking. While trying to run top speed of 80 you will be doing this about ever 10 to 15 seconds. This boat is really a 27 ft boat with a heavy load in the rear which makes the center of gravity very sensative to keep balanced at top speed. Maintaining the tie rods and hydralic steering, and gimble housing is key. If you grab your drives and move them up or down or side to side and there is movement you may have to replace the gimble pin or hinge pins. Your props may be giving you too much bow lift and may need less cuping. If this boat is running a true 80 I doubt any single can catch you with stock power unless it is a cat.

The boat runs 82 @ wot on gps anything over 78140 it starts dancing. The boat has 17 inch k planes that have stops on them when they reach 3 on the indicators witch puts them straight with the haul when in the up posistion

I'm no expert (sometimes defined as "a used-up drip under pressure"), but I think 82mph at wot with a couple of stock 468s is pretty d**n good! Sounds to me like your getting it ALL.:drink::evilb::drink:
