Electrical connector under back seat?
Hey guys, under my back seat, there is a 3 prong big connector, looks like some sort of rv/shorepower connector thing. Appears to be wired with heavy gauge cables that go to the batteries. Looks factory. Not shorepower though, as that is separate. What is that for? Just curious.

jumper cables disconnect

when you get home from boating you plug your boat in to the dryer outlet so it will dry out . just kidding
Its for hooking up jumpers so you can lift the engine hatches. Its a weird plug I have seen them in are shop, diesel heavy equipment.
If your batterys go you'll need it to raise hatch.Or take vents off with a real long socket wrench:lolhit:
Your Fountain should have the cable that plugs into the outlet under the seat, the other end is jumper cable clamps, clamp them to your battery charger cables to charge your batteries easily, or to jump start if dead in the water.
If you have a older fountain 1990 ish you will have a 3 prong dryer type plug for your jumpers , newer looks like a charger plug for a golf cart
Those cables area little overkill.... if put there just to raise the hatch with a dead battery, dontcha think?
Maybe just be heavy enough one could either jump your motor, or someone else's. |
Handy as hell when you're tied up and the boat next to u kills the battery
