Help finding transducer
My depth sounder has never worked since owning my boat. Does anyone know where they typically put the transducer in a 27 fever and the best way to access it? I'm assuming I will have to replace. Gafrig says to see if the transducer is pinging And then follow the wires.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |
On my 29 it is in the cabin. As you step into the cabin there is a storage area under that step. Mine is under the black mat in that storage area. It looks like a small hockey puck with wires going to your dash. You could also check under your dash and make sure it is connected. Mine has come loose before and I had to reconnect it. Are you getting any power to your guage? It should have power but it will not read depth until you are in the water.
