motors are 500 efi's they run great but no sea trial yet still redoing a few things over the winter thats why i am asking the good and bad i will work on it this winter as for props not sure what they are only took them out of the box once just to look for damage then put them back in

Fountain makes a real nice boat, especially the lightning series. I really like the 47's.

You bought a boat you know nothing about, with no sea trial ?

Roll of the dice, hope it all works out well for you. Did you get a survey atleast ?

i know there good boats but just wanted to hear the good and bad from owners that own them its a sweet boat i have a few things to do to it the boat was a one owner since brand new i am second owner my buddy has been building boats for the last 35 years he looked at it said its solid the boat has sat on a lift its whole life never sat in the water a night even if there is a few problems for what i paid for it i still have some pocket change left over

Mike, like you I bought my Fountain late in the season. I only ran it twice before putting it away for the winter (yes, it's killing me...). My previous boat was a Chris Craft Stinger with similar power. The Fountain is a much more efficient boat and seems to ride more "on top of the water" rather than in it. I'm sure you will love it come spring/summer. Good luck:-)

Not that quick with the power. The ride is solid and tracks like its in rails. Good luck with her.

"Not that quick with the power."

Incorrect. The Fountain hull is one of the most if not the most efficient V hull made. That is why they have won nearly all the top V hull speed events for the last 10-15 years and most race boats are Fountains. Fountain has the piston engine V hull speed record of nearly 180 mph. Even when Skater and Cigarette set out to unseat Fountain they could not do it with a V hull at the same horsepower.

"The ride is solid and tracks like its in rails."

This is a fact.

POWERPLAY J 12-26-2011 10:43 AM

Sry I mixed my words. It's faster than other hulls with that power period! 75 isn't fast for that hull. 100 and your cooking.
