Fountain Performance Marine: If that's the weight for the boat & trailor that might be right. A 47 fully loaded should weigh 15000-18000 plus the trailor.

Boat 16,500 (as advertised on website)
Fuel 1756.67
Water 308.58
Aluminum trailer 2800 + spare & extras
Gear?
Total #21,365.25 I realize not all fluids would have to be topped off when towing. In another thread I was asking what folks used to tow their 47' Fountains. While it's my dream boat I may have to settle for a 42' (total # 15, 803).

This is the order of mine but the fills are on the port side. It is a 1997 47 fountain.

Myco shipping weight is 4875 and gvwr is 24000. I'm pulling with a 3500 for a few hundred feet to the ramp but I'm looking for a legal truck to pull my 97 47. I haven't pulled it to a scale yet so your posts on loaded weight are helpful.

Has anyone been inspected on the road with a 3500 or 4500 which seem to be too small.
