JL speakers fit in logo plates
 

I purchased JL 7.7 speakers but will they fit in the fountain logo holes on the sides. Thanks for the info

I'm 90% sure they fit, the problem is that there's usually a black ring marked in the vinyl for where they cut the hole for the fountain panel that won't come off....

100 percent , been there done that

I used wax and grease remover, took the black ring off easy.

As for fitting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, anything will fit if you have a jig saw:daz:

Check the depth, on the starboard side the wiring bundle is pretty close. Also cut your hole big enough so that the speaker basket "Windows" are open, if you don't you will load the speaker cone.

Aren't the 7.7's larger than the ring that will be left behind, so not an issue??

I couldn't get all of the black off on mine. tried everything, short of scissors

I put them in mine. No big deal.
