Hatch Switch?

I have a 98 29' fever. My engine hatch switch quit working because it lost its ground. When I hook a ground from another switch it works fine. So before I run another ground to the motor, does anyone know where the current ground is?? Thanks for any help.

I just swapped the dash and switch plate on my 98 32', the grounds from the switch panel were on 2 seperate terminals connected together behind the dash. There was also a couple of bullet connectors 1 behind the switch plate and 1 in the main harness, may of come loose or corroded.

Thanks for the reply. As far as I can trace, the ground for my hatch runs towards the rear. I can't tell which one it is in the engine compartment. I'll probably make my own ground.

The engine block is grounded. Or where the negative battery wires connect to the starter.

I know how / where the motor is grounded. I was just asking if anyone knew the exact location for the hatch switch ground wire only. I ended up making a new ground. Thanks for the input.
