27 w/ water in cabin bilge?

Hey guys i see some other posts with water in the cabin problems but everyone i read was not a 27. I shop vac the water out of the engine bilge to where its gone and it fills back up again? only to a certain point then hold at that level. Its only maybe a half gallon but enough to drive me crazy. Any ideas where it is coming from?

If my cleat up front which i resealed was leaking could it be holding water somewhere? Thanks for any help you can give me

check your bow rail mounts where they mount to the deck.mine leaked and would run down behind the couch and get the floor wet.

i found mine did this every time i washed the cockpit area. The water would run into the bilge thru the drain holes and because of the way the boat sits on the trailer the water would run forward instead of out the back.

Su i make sure everything i wash the cockpit area I am on a down hill slope

Problem solved.

That's mine, yours could be different. I would have to assume rain would do the same thing if you store on a lift.

Just my .02

I, too, would say check the deck rails. They were all loose when I bought my boat and I had a TON of water in there. Took them off, sealed them up...no more water.

deck rails is what got mine once and spent a lot of money on repair.

+1
Removed every bow rail nut, sealed bolt with lots of 5200 on both sides of the deck, used wet rag to wipe off excess neatly, not a drop of water in cabin since 2006. :)

Had the same problem had to lift the tongue of the trailer up with a skid steer to get it up high enough for the water to drain out the back of the boat and stil had to shop vac a little water out. It's the way the fevers sit, the water actually runs toward the front of the boat when ur in the water I took two rubber plugs from a row boat and put them in the holes farthest down in the engine hatch bilge. mines been dry ever since
