35 Executioner or Lightning
What is the difference between the two boats?
many threads on here about this same topic. A few are pretty specific with years/differences etc. Do a quick search.
The executioner has one step on the 35, the lightning has 2 and will have 3-4 mph more top end- the 42s both are twin stepped!
Depends on the year. 1996 - 1999 35 "Lightnings" were all single step boats, there was no " 35 executioner" in those years. In 2000-2001, they called the single step boat "35 Lightning Classic", and the, "then new" 35 Lightning was the twin step boat. In either 2002 or 2003 they dropped the 35 Lightning Classic, made a few changes and called the single step 35, the "35 Executioner", until it ended production (along with all of the other Fountain boats), and the twin step remained the "35 Lightning".

I just stepped up to a 35 from a 27 and was wondering the same. Did a search within the site and got the answer, but Thanks for the clarification.

Nope. There's a guy with an all black 1994 running around by me, and its a straight bottom.
