Honestly, I dont think you are that far off. Couple questions
Were the engines dynoed with all accessories? Exhaust manifolds or headers?? What kind of torque were you making? can you post the dyno sheet?? With the 114LSA cam, unless you have dry exhaust, is probably your best bet from a reversion standpoint. However, if you run dry exhaust, you probably could have squeezed more power out of a different profile. I think to get 700HP out of a N/A 540, your gonna need more cam. Im just guessing here, but your HP maybe peaked under or around 5500RPM? More cam, more RPM, like say 6000, would probably get you closer to your number. 700HP from a N/A carbed 540, can be alot to ask, and it will be a Hot motor, big cam, high rpm, borderline pump gas compression, ported heads, etc. |
it only had a water pump on frt, im dealing with the builder now so i will see where im at, was hoping to get 700 and get my 42 back in the low 90s but hell i guess low 80s and turnkey reliable will be ok

I have the same set up in my '98 42 side by side, I was told by the previous owner they were 630hp, they are 540 bowtie blocks, brodix heads & intake with a 1050 dominator, not sure on the rest of the spec's I was told they were build by Gelner out of OH, I see 85-87 depending on the load & heat, turn them up to 5400 with 29p5x standard length bravo drives, You should see similar results with your set up

random i could live with that ( atleast for now) so i think its time to put her together and make it a beast.

Motors,I think different cam's would pull out some HP .They should pull 700 with no problem. That after all you have done is a small thing.JOHN SR

John im thinking a bigger cam would help it to!
|
Anyway you can post the dyno sheet But white out the builder/shop name if you want to keep that quiet?
