Thru Hull Water Intake

When I bought my 32 Fever the previous owner was telling me the things that needed to be done that he knew about. He told me that the water in take had been drilled out on my
starboard engine. When I ask what he ment by this he told me that the lower unit had a metal tube or pipe that went thru the transom. This tube or pipe had to be drilled out because it was almost coroded closed and the engine wasn't getting enough water to cool the engine. He said he had done the starboard side but he thought the port engine should be done as well. I guess the question I have is should I drill them out again or consider puting in a thru hull water draw for both engines. If so can this done big enough for both engines draw enough water to cool from one thru hull or should I do one for each motor??

OK That will work, what happens if you suck up a plastic bag,and it does happen!!!!! Cook two motors instead of one.Put one for each motor.Fountain builds nice stuff I have two of them and WOULD NEVER USE one pick up for both motors. But to each there own.Bad move in my opinion. Just my 2 cents. JOHN SR

When your warning light comes on because the temp is getting to high stop the boat close the intake valve, remove the top of your sea strainer take out the obstruction put the strainer top back on open your intake valve the finish enjoying your day!

Well evidently you depend on your WARNING light. What happens if it or a buzzer don't work or the boat does not have them to start with. Then maybe you never been running 90 or so and suck up a bag or plastic because it Never gets to you strainer. And you can't shut down fast enought if you are running big power .So like I said I WOULD run one for each engine. And always watch the guages.Ya know in the cars they call them idiot lighs.Once again my 2 cents.JOHNSR

Wow don't blow a gasket here. First off everything goes to the stainer first. And in Dec the world is supposed to end too. No I dont have big power. yes my boat runs well into the 90's. Can be certified by either Reggie. And yes I'm a Idiot:lolhit:
