Fuel Line Question 42/525s
Was setting up an electric fuel pump to drain my tanks for the winter. I pulled the fuel line off the filter housing and noticed a wrinkled inner surface when I looked inside. This was a warped thin plastic inner lining! Anyone ever see that? This is factory original fuel line. Does it reexpand when gas goes through it? Is this E10 ethanol damage?
My second question is how best to change this hose as it is in front of the port engine with very little room. Almost looks like you have to pull the engine to replace the fuel line! |
It's not going to re-expand, that's for sure. Get rid of all the 90 degree fittings. Eddie at Young Performance has ran into this before with a good friend of mine's boat. Took multiple years with a previous engine builder "diagnosing" the situation before he gave up and let Eddie look at it.
On the port engine....get skinny!! You can do it! Or your daughter lol... |

Re awakening this thread.
If you're not a circus midgit how in the world do you do this? (Without pulling engine!) |
