No, But i am creeping up on you with my XR set up. You still at 104?

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-11-2013 03:41 PM

Yep, still just 104. It'd be nice to hear if anyone tried 6 blades on my setup, 19.5"X w/SCX-4. My slip is at 16-18%. 16 with a 35P and 18 with a 38P. I think it'd run better with a smaller prop and less slip. The extra blade helped on the Bravo set up.
Can't wait to hear how your hull does after blueprint.
I can do small glass repairs but if I tried it in a large area it would look like Tammy Faye's face.

I went from 94 to 98 by blueprint.. I have some more tweeking to do . Should be into tripple digits here soon. the thing is. You have the bigger steps w more airation. My bottom is pretty mint right now. I been a bodyman for 30 years so it's really nice :D You ran 102 before w about the same hp ( around 700) and the bravo props. If i can get to 102 that would be completly Amazing. I'm at 12% slip

I would take advantage of your intercoolers. With stock boost they aren't really doing what they are capable of doing anyway. Pulley down to 8lbs, tune, run 110mph and you won't have to worry about MCPro creeping anymore... :lolhit:

how many pounds does your 42 have for boost?

I am at 7lbs.

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-11-2013 04:53 PM

So 4#'s isn't enough?
I'd love to up the boost but not off the dyno first. Maybe next time around.
It's real hard NOT to tweak things while I'm sitting here waiting for summer. The only thing that helps is to watch the bank account go the right direction......for once!

mcprodesign 02-11-2013 05:41 PM

I am at about 6 , I figure we are in safe mode. I heard 1 guy running 9.5 intercooled. I would just be concerned w nipping a piston by going up in boost. Both motors would have to be out of the boat and remapped.

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-11-2013 06:06 PM

I used to be stuck at 102.5 MPH
Now I'm at 4's. 4# boost, SCX-4, 104MPH, 4 PU's. What's next, 4 sale????? Or quad rotors? Hmmmmm.

mcprodesign 02-11-2013 06:19 PM

i don't know. With all that cash lying around, I'd be planning a trip to Desert Storm or sending those big old bricks to Wilson. Mine are going to be there tomorrow

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-11-2013 07:50 PM

Desert storm. Hmmmm?

mcprodesign 02-12-2013 10:50 AM

Yeap, April 25-28th and Wilson the lowers. That's what I am doing. ( he can do them with the internals still in the cases)

You won't be disappointed, he does nice work!

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-12-2013 04:13 PM

Lowers are pretty nice as they are. I spent 40 hours on them. Gonna have to find something else to spend money on and soon. The bank account's about ready to burst.:lolhit:
Sometimes I am thankful we only get 2 months of boating.

Maybe you should stop dragging your drives on the bottom of the lake, get a set of shorties, a decent prop and get into triple digits? Or maybe you should admit to everyone that you are gay...??

Just a thought...

Good got rotating assy's in the blocks, waiting on cams and belt drives to finish the short blocks. Now back to the 38's with the scx-4's.

I had seen this video a couple months back but didn't realize you were the same person and on OSO. That thing flies, awesome video! Wouldn't of guessed 100+ w/ 575s and SCXs, but thats a solid set up.

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 02-14-2013 02:29 PM

I hope it's solid. It'll take a few years before we know how well these drives are but if they are what they're supposed to be, YIPEEE!!!!
