Fountain sells them for $8000!

mcprodesign (member on here, but in cali)either cut his down or knows someone that did. You actually have to make the top rail longer to make the windshield shorter.

Doesn't look easy, but if you have success getting it done local let me know, I would like mine done as well, you first though :lolhit:

Either there are a few guys local who want to cut down their windshield....................or their is one guy, putting out lots of feelers ?

Having had a standard height on my 2003, and now a low height on the 2009, I would stay a couple inches higher than the low height when cutting one down. It would be more effective to direct wind over your head than the low one (when seated) and yet be tall enough to look through it when seated also.
Miss that standard height windshield when it is cool or raining.
The tall is way too tall, the low is a little too low, and the standard seems just a little too high.
Go halfway between low and standard and it will look and function well. Yes, the top rail would need to be customized to do this.

Splitting the difference in heights between these two boats would be ideal.

What is needed here is for someone with the 4 piece low windshield to find and post the part number. Taylor claims to have made them for Fountain and can reproduce it with the right part number.

I think 2000 up to 2006 model years would be the ones to have these. I did not dig this info out but understand it came from a reliable source. Bunch of us would be real appreciative if someone could take a look. My understanding is that it is on the unit under the lip of the rubber seal and should be easy to get a look at.

Any idea where? I'll take a look on mine.

Fountain made there windshields in house I had my 35 windshield cut down at the factory. You need a new top rail when you cut the windshield down. It becomes longer.

I'm not positive on this but understand at the bottom edge just under the rubber gasket that sets it into the bottom frame.

Thanks, be great if you can find the numbers. Is yours the low one? I hear there was a mid heigth one as well.

What I have been told is that the older four section ones were done by Taylor, newer ones with the one piece front were done at Fountain, or elsewhere. Not the expert here just bringing this back up to see if there is some more info out there.
