Shorties on std height B1's?

I searched for a while and couldn't find anything that specificly answered my question. If there is a thread out there please direct me to it. My question is this:

On a boat such as mine (specs below) benefit from having shorties installed? I don't know what happedn but apperently the previous owner of my boat hat a prop grenade or something because the side of the starbord and port lowers facing the center drive have some damage and have been repaired (poorly) with epoxy that is now coming off. As most boaters know my thought precess went from; "I need to fix that" to "I need to replace that with something better" to finnaly "If I'm going to spend money on it I might as well make it faster" Has anyone put shorties on a fountain with tripples and what were the results?

Here is my rig: 98 Large step hull with tripple 525SC/B1's w/o nose cones and Hydromotive Q IV 29's that have been labbed.

I wonder if your damage to the sides of the lower cases is a result of the center prop hitting because the drives were trimmed uneven.

Maybe, I would have to check to see if it's possible. I hope someone here can tell me their experience that has put shorties on a tripple boat.
