Early 90's 32' fountain fever stereo help
Just purchased a 1991 32' fountain fever and need some ideas on the stereo. speaker locations are minimal at best. Pictures will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Joe |
Ever get any pictures or figure out how you were going to upgrade your stereo. I just bought a 94 and want to upgrade mine also. If not anybody out there got any pics or ideas on best speaker set up, size, locations? Thanks for the help.

I haven't seen that year boat, but assuming its same as later models. This is what I did to my 27' - which I believe has the same cockpit layout as the 32'.
JL 10's at the base of the front bolters and JL 7.7's under the bench and replacing the Fountain lights (they were melted anyway). http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1.../10JLSubsS.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1.../10JLSubsP.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...Untitled-6.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...Untitled-4.jpg |

Nice to see some action...... I thought I was black sheeped or something. I do not have pics yet but I will by the end of the weekend. Ended up going with 4 8" and 2 10" Rockford fosgates. 2 8"s in the fountain lights and 2 down low by the front bolsters. The 10"s went under the bench. Mounted two amps in the storage location beneath the cooler in the cabin. Also went with the clarion head unit because it has blue tooth. Installed the hard wire for the ipod through the glove box so it will be easy to access and protected. Finishing the installation this afternoon so hopefully I will be happy with the end result. I have been very happy with the RF equipment on my other boat so I assume this will be on the same page. I should have $1,200 in equipment.
Special thanks to TBone for his efforts. |
