Mounting a ladder to a boat

Has anybody put one of these on their Fountains? Is there a way to do it with out just using lag bolts?

I'm adding one to my 27. I have looked and found Fastenall sells a stainless toggle type bolt. You have to drill a half inch hole to get a 1/4 -20 bolt in and have close to an inch of room above it to turn the toggle flat. I have been trying to find out how much room is inside the swim platform before I drill it. Especially near the back.

If you could take pics, I would appreciate it. I'm not going to lag bolt it which is the reason I don't have a ladder on my boat yet. I do need to get one on their soon though

The PO on my Sonic added one on. The pic isn't great but you can see the bolts on the top of the platform. I really didn't even notice them until he told me he added it. I can get better pics next weekend if you want them.

I put the Aquamarine ladder on my 29 a couple of years ago. It is has been AWESOME. There was no way thru bolt it. They send a toggle bolt that expands when the bolt is tightened. Even if I wanted to remove it later...filling the holes would not be an issue. That being said using the tie bar to get in the boat is a BAD and dangerous option, so I doubt it will ever be removed.

So were you able to mount it your self or did you have a shop do it for you?

Did it with a buddy in less than an hour. It was really simple. You need an extra pair of hands to hold the ladder while marking the hole locations. I loaded the insertes and covered the bolts with marine grade sealant/silicone to make sure NO WATER would ever leak in. Use SHARP drill bits and take your time.
