First run with power upgrade, video

Always scary running for the first time after having every single mechanical thing apart, but t went well with no issues. Evening video coming home. 575sci with hyd roller conversion cams, boost bump. Still have to program the rev limits up, they are at the stock 5350 and it finds them very easy. 2:55 mark is WOT, 3:05 mark is rev limiters at 92 mph.

What a huge all around performance gain, these engines are amazing now. I'm in love al over again :D

The first two minutes are dead idle, I was too lazy to edit

Glen, got a feeling it may exceed it, running strong. I got to the limiters last year at the end of the season, 92 mph as well, but it took a while to get there. Now it just jumps to the limit, pulling hard.

Gonna change the limiters now and head back out :D

I hear ya! Last year when I did my rebuilds and upgrades, first time I whacked it and it put me in my seat, watching the speedo climb into new areas I hadn't seen before, got me horny! I needed a cold shower after the first ride. :evilb:

Sounds great, I do miss my 575's.

You are knocking on speeds where stock lowers are a detriment. On my 03/575/35 I would get big prop slip over 92 or 93mph. Added nosecones to stock lowers and went to Maximus Merc labbed 32 5bl and it really worked well to pull past the century mark.

Biggus 05-07-2013 05:33 AM

Congrats! Glad to hear all is back together and running well. -Be careful about hitting the rev limiters, the 575's cut back fuel to limit rpm...

Have you spent much time with Mefiburn or are you running stock ecu's?

Kurt

mysweetone 05-07-2013 05:41 AM

Sha-weet boat man.

Why are you always trying to get me to spend more money Kelly? :D

I gotta wait until it warms up a little to see where I really am, but you are right.

I heard holy cow is even more insane this year! Can't wait to see it run

Thanks Kurt, ya I am aware of that, that is why I won't let it run on them. Running this weekend was challenging cause it was was finding them so easy. No fun!

That was stock ecu. transom is black and I got the afr numbers. I have saved the stock evu files, and changed the rev limits last night to 5650/5750 up from 5350/5450. Now I have to start my base line programming on the hose. I will be updating that thread soon
