Range of a 27 Fever?

Does anyone know the range of a 1997 27' Fever with a stock 502 mag mpi? I think the gas tank is around 70 gallons?? I want to take a trip this year but don't want to get stranded in the middle of the lake. I know that speed would obviously make a difference. I would probably just cruise at 3200 rpm's (45mph). Any help would be appreciated.

its hard to say, alot depends on speed. At WOT your probably talking 60-80 gph. Which you have 70 and assume you can go 70 your talking about 70 miles maybe a little more. I always think I can get 2-3 miles a gallon cruising, so I would guess realistically probably around 130-150miles on your boat. Might be wise to carry 10 gallon with you at least that can get you extra 15-20mins or so.

Here is a neat little link you could use to get a ball park number. It has the newer 8.2l engine as well as several other engines to choose from. You adjust the RPM guage and it gives you the gph reading.

27's have a 60 Gallon tank and I can empty mine in a little over 2 hours if im in the 70's. 45 mph should give you double that

27 has a 60 gal tank your range is 120 miles for some reason the speed doesn't make much difference i have pushed the limit more that once. when you are running faster you are traveling more miles sooner single engine get about 2 miles to the gal

Couple of us used to have 27's with HP500's. We used 1.5 mpg as an average for planning fuel or trip length (where there was no fuel available). That worked out pretty good for my 29 with single 500EFI, too.
