Battery
What is good high performance battery recommended for my 27 Fever?? Thx, Jon

I've had great luck with Kirkland batteries sold at Costco.

I use Interstate marine 24M-XHD for my starting batteries. Also use a dedicated deep cycle for the stereo equipment. You will want a battery with lots of cranking amps (800 or more) for big blocks (650 amp batteries will work but for few $ more get an 800 amp).

of course deep cycle, but a 27M battery is what you need. I have bought the energizers from sams for like 70 bucks, on my third year and no problems. Some sams have the duracells which are the same and I am sure the costco battery is probably the same as well, just a different sticker. Dont go cheap, but I wouldnt get wrapped up in these $200 batteries

i just bought a 27 Interstate deep cell and it is awesome. Plenty of cranking power. I bought it at Gander Mountain for $135. I also have a 27 Fever.

Thanks for the help everyone. I ended up buying an Exide AGM battery rated for 1000 CCA. My boat has a single battery now but I am interested in a dual battery set up for stereo and other accessories. Are wiring and battery mount kits available to purchase to achieve this or do I need to engineer my one and buy the parts/materials individually? Thx, Jon

I would look at a battery isolator. and hook all acces to that. Battery islolator will let your second battery only drain so far until it kicks it off the circuit until you start up, that way it doesnt drain your main battery.
