how far out can you trim you drives safely

I have a 32 fever 2000 and was wondering how far out you can trim your drives safely with out damaging something I think the mechanical gauges go from 1 being all the way in to 7 being all the way out

On your boat you can trim them till they hit the platform if you want. It wears the U joints faster....

On the ram measure out 21 3/4" from center bolt to center bolt. This is the max for bravo trim, then mark your gauge with a colored tape where it is at.

You should never need to trim it that far out anyhow, unless trailering it.......

I believe the manual states drives at 4.5 - 5.5 for smooth water with the tabs at 2.5 - 2.75. Rough water tabs and drives at 4. Hope this helps.

I just set mine up to the 21 3/4 length sure does not look right. I would think you could trim more. I have not been on the water since the adjustment, so really don't know how it's going to work. I wish it would quit raining!!!!!!!!!

On my boat when it gets rough I usually trim around 1-1/2 - 2 and when it's calm I run trim around 3
