38 fever with small steps and 2 in shorties. how much power to make it to 90mph
 

motors are coming out and make approx. 600 a side now I see low to mid 80s. id like it to be a 90 mph boat so what should I set my goal for horse power ? will 700hp do it??

I would think 700hp would do it, it gets my 98 42 there, I'm a couple k heavier, but big steps, should be a wash... I was about the same speed as you with roughly 600 a side

I ran 90 w hydromotive p5xs and stock lowers about 5 inches below the bottom of the boat prop centerline. Actaully 89.9. On lake elsinore which is about 1200 feet of elevation. I got about 700 per side. Small step side by side 38

I run 92 -2 shorties and ext boxes approx. 650 a side 2000 38 fever with 32 p5xs side by side
