Hub adapter for old fountain dash up grade

Hello, I have a 1991 32' fountain, which I am trying to finish up the dash. I am trying to find an adapter to go from the old school three screw steering wheel to a modern wheel. I have ordered two adapters, one from Hardin marine and one from Livorsi. Both have been wrong. Any help will be appreciated. Below is a pic of the old wheel and a pic of the back of the new adapter. Sorry, I do not have a pic of the old wheel back.

Are you keeping the CRT unit? If so, I believe the wheel bolts to it, no adapter used there. Been several yrs ....

No I pulled it. I found an adapter, square on one side and three bolt on the other. It got me to the point I am at now. I just ordered another adapter from gaffrig which I am hoping will be the last one. Thanks.

you should be able to remove the steering wheel with the hub assembly as a unit and install a new hub and wheel,,,

thats all I did

I have an older boat which has the square style of steering. I thought I had it covered through Gaffrig but it turns out the adapter is obsolete and no longer available. I now have another hub coming from Harden which is going to use the old hub adapter and go from a three screw to a six screw. Man, what a pain in the azz. Hopefully this will work. If not, I am going to have one made at my plant, should have done this last month.

It is a old school mercruiser hyd assisted mechanical system. Someone else can explain how it works, but it looks like a hyd system on the drives and it works very well.
