Drive trim leak in Bilge
32' Fever, drive trim pump assembly mounted on the back of seat in engine compartment. I have traced the hoses to the gimbal where they leave the boat and enter the trim manifold.
1st question is are these supposed to be 1 continuous hose or a joint/junction at about 6" before the firewall then a shorter hose going to the Gimbal. reason I am asking is it doesn't look like my trim manifold is leaking, the hoses look good. i am wondering if the junction of several brass fittings where the hoses connect could be leaking. Also my Bravo drive never dropped when it was on the trailer, any help would be appreciated |
check your seats and trim tab also
if the bottles are to full you will splash fluid out all over the place you only need about 1 inch in all the bottles |
Got it all fixed, replaced the manifold because the mercathode bolt broke in it. The back lines were good, found a small pinhole leak under a bracket in the bundle holding 4 of the lines, had a shop make me a new one installed and good to go.

That hose should be one straight shot all the way from the bottle to the drive manifold. No brass fittings in it at all. I would replace the hose's even if you did stop the leak.Your just asking for more leaks were those hose barbs are in the hose's.
