Polished ss or polished alum treadplate

Ok fellow beak drivers. Along with my other winter upgrades I want to add some bling to the engine side of the engine hatch. Considering polished SS sheeting or polished aluminum tread plate. What are your thoughts?:duel:

Just have a local shop cut some mirrorplex to the size area you wish to cover. Attach with high quality double-sided foam tape around perimeter and no less than 6" apart in center. Much less weight added and easy to maintain.
