Removing hatch cover on a 29' Fever
I have never been fond on the hatch pivoting from the rear, but it is what it is.
Has anyone removed their hatch/sunpad to facilitate engine work (twins)? Just wondering how hard it would be to R&R... |
I agree the split hatches are killer. That said just remove the bolt on the ram and two pins on the back and it's easy to remove,,,,,,,,,,,, with two guys. Just slide off the back.
|
Wildman, thanks. I didn't realize it was a slide-off at the rear. I thought I might have to drive out pins with a drift or something...
Am I understand correctly or do you still have to drive out pins in the rear? |
It's not hard at all - just a heavy sob. Two person job for sure. Take the 5/16th bolts out of the back, remove hatch ram, and carefully slide it backward until you're able to lift it up and off.

Wes,
My pins came out pretty easy, but as said its a heavy SOB. We just slide it until you can get a good grip on each side and lift it off. |
True very heavy !!!Bring piston up all the way 3 man job to be safe!!
