hydromotive p5x props

I have a 94 42 fountain lightening no step hull and side by side motors. The motors are 510ci whipple motors making around 800 to 850 hp apiece. I was wondering what people thing about the hydromotive p5x prop for this boat and has anyone ever used them and how they like them. What pitch should i try to run with my set up and what speeds do yall think i am looking at.

I personally think unless you put -2 shorties , your X -Dim would be to low to benefit from 5 blades, not to mention the added stress on the drives, do you have XR's on the boat? I ran P5X's for a couples season, but went back to Labbed 32 Bravo 4 blades after losing a couple drives , I'm right at 90 with a side by side step bottom w/NA 700HP , I would think you should be in that ballpark... maybe a few ticks higher

If your running 1:50 ratio, I would try a set of P5X 29'S I think they would work well on your set up, good luck

While we are here talking about props. I have a question as well maybe you will have an idea. I was going to call Hydro as well with my questions. I just had a new set of motors built. I had gone from 415 HP to some were around 650HP I believe. We will know exactly next week after Dyno. But say they turn out to be 650HP in a single step 32' Fountain Fever. Motors are obviously side by side in it. Before the build I ran 28 pitch Bravo 1s on standard Bravo drives 1.50 ratio. I want to go Hydro props for sure. I too was thinking about a 5blade prop. But what's your guess on what the props will change too on the new set up?? I realize there is a lot of hypotheticals involved here but I will take the same type answer as well.

You need to know what rpm you will be turning the new motors up to and were you were before

what speeds yall think i will be seeing

I had 29 pitch p5x's on a 35 side by side twin step, with 550 HP. It had 1.5 ratio it ran 88 mph at 5600 rpm.
