99 Staggered 42 Speed Question
 

Hello everyone. New to the forum. Been Cabin Cruising for 15 years. Decided to add a fountain to the family. In the process of getting a 99 42 staggered, 2 steps with 500hps. What max mph can I expect, and what if any quick upgrades can I do to get the mph higher. Thanks

I'm thinking they run upper 70s. Maybe right at 80. 99 was the big step which I don't believe was the fastest bottom although a good one just not the fastest. Best upgrade depending on hours and motor condition is whipples.

Is it the all white one at Pier57?? I agree with ICUL... upper 70's. and also agree on the whipple upgrade...

Nice!! Congrats!! You'll love it.. the 42 is the best Fountain hull.. good looking boat too.. but I'm a little partial to all white with blue accents...LOL...

Haven't even signed for it yet, and I'm looking for someone to chop that window down. I think that makes a huge difference!!!

Check out what these guys are doing with a 47 fountain. Pretty cool look to me and it's different. I am a huge fan of the race fairings myself.
