loosen with 3/8 ratchet,,,then switch over to 1/4 ratchet,,,,use a piece of 3/8 fuel hose about 8ins long ,slip it over top of plugs to remove old plugs and install the new plugs using the fuel hose also

Lift your hatch ALL the way up vertically. Suspend it from a rafter or something above. Put a moving blanket on top of the motors and lay across them for better access to the back cylinders. On my boat, (not a 32 Fountain), this turned a 4 hour job into a 2.5 hour job.

Like sydways said. Lay on top of motors. Rear plugs easiest to reach from back of motor. Not that bad of a job.

+1 on rubber hose, 1/4" drive ratchet, 1"extension, and be prepared to bleed a little.

Hose clamps cuts, knuckle, wrist and upper arm.

I also remove the rubber insert from the plug socket. Never fails after tightening the plug and you go to remove the socket, the extension comes off the socket cause the rubber has a better grip.

I compare changing the plugs in a 32 fountain to pregnacy checking a cow. Those that have done or seen it will understand.

Tie your ankles to a crane hook and suspend yourself head down. Keep the crane pendent near by for easy body adjustments. :stooges:
