old race 47
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-47-Foun...item25947d6964
the rigging on this boat is over my head.. BUT damn this would be a cool boat to own! the cockpit is rad! anyone have other photos? |
Always wondered where that boat ended up. Also curious about the 47 CS fountain that got converted to pleasure with trip 1000s.
|
"8 inch exhaust" no wonder that boat was so loud, still the loudest boat I have ever heard at idle, wot loud goes to the v12s in Qatar's unlimited ride.
Have always loved INXS |
“The boat is missing Steering Wheel and Gauges. Other wise its in excellent condition with Normal Wear & Tear. MYCO Trailer could use new tires from sitting.”
but wait "NO Motors or Drives included but Boat is rigged for 3 Motors" ed |
Ya it's ebay, so who knows what's actually there. I would love to see the boat in person and do a pleasure conversion. But I don't know what the market for an ex race mid 90's 47 triple boat is lmao if there even is a market.

Im kinda confused. We have an old INXS boat here in Houston that has been restored and was in attendance at LOTO. It looks like this boat with the canopy which I saw run in Galveston back in the day. How many of the canopied INXS boats are there? The one we saw run in Galveston was owned by Ted Sabarese and throttled by Tres Martin. I thought the one in Houston was Teds old boat but this one for sale looks more like it. Have I just got my boats mixed up?
|
im not sure either. in the photo's on the AD, there are 2 different boats... slight changes in the paint but not the same... who knows... i just thought it was rad. i think his price for it is a bit absurd though... if you add all of his prices for boat, motors (still would need a 3rd) exhaust, and then need 3 #6's... theres another 70G lol

1. 41' Apache Pleasure 2. 47' Apache Race 3. 45' Fountain Canopy Race Boat 4. 47' Fountain Canopy Race Boat. I love the boat but at a 30k starting bid one has to be nuts buying it.. |
Ya I know it. It would be an awesome boat but his numbers just don't work
|
Thanks J.
I wasn't real sure about how many canopy boats were built. Were both of the canopy boats owned by Sabarese? This rebuild would have to a "labor of love" considering the difficulty and cost. Hope that whoever gets the old girl has the resources to do it well. Sure brings back some great memories of when my son and I would attend the races and the bad old world made a little more sense. Again, thanks! |

i was on the dock in key west when they limped in the hull cracked from waterline up across the deck in front of the windsheild and down the other side it was a fountain but i,m not sure if it was this one or the 45 they had 2 fountains
