blower vent plugs
 

I keep my 29 Fever moored on a bouy and on really rough days the blower vents would take on water(no real surprise). Solution: 3.5 inch diameter compression plugs. East wind came up early today and pounded the bouy field with 4 footers. Went out on the boat this afternoon and not a drop in the bilge. Just dont forget to take them out before firing the blowers!! The plugs are very heavy duty aluminum with a thick rubber section and large wingnut. Check them out at this link:

Plugging Holes
 

It sure is a shame that we spend that kind of money on a boat and have to buy stuff like this to keep it from taking on water. What was Reggie thinking?

It sure is a sad day when two holes on the back of your boat cause so many people so much grief. Lets face it, this novel idea was not one of Fountains best innovative concepts. Hell, we are reading threads and buying compression plugs to fill in this genuis marketing tool. It is boating 101, holes in the boat bad! vents good!
