Still can't believe the speeds they are achieving with mild power...looks like a nice rig. Did Holy Cow ever sell?

No he still has it. He never replied to my offer so I told him that I sold the Checkmate, spent the $100, drank the milk and ate the fine cheeses. That only left a straight trade with my 32 Fever and it just wasn't quite enough!

Simple. Look how close the drives are to the swim platform. High x

I sold one and in fact, they are a 100 mph boat! Tricky to get on plane but once running it is very efficient!!!

The high X tends to blow the props when trying to plane, fuel and load can make it even trickier. Getting on plane in rough conditions is sometimes near impossible. The high X and surfacing of the 5 or 6 blade solid hub props is also very tough on the drives, even a distant boat wake coming at you in calm water can make the come out and re-enter the water. Substandard props will also have issues keeping the blades on.

However, the speed from today's power using better props, high X's and perfect bottoms is amazing. If someone told you 20 years ago you were gonna run 100 mph with this power in this size boat you would have laughed them off the dock.
