The Beak

Just wondering how Reggie came up with the beak? What is the history of the design?

It is actually designed and helps create lift. Not just for looks.

What makes you think Reggie came up with the beak as he most definitly didn't.

Mr. Phragel , do tell , as a double beak owner I need to know . I realize there are some other brands that have a less pronounced " beak" , but , always assumed they were the imitator . Educate me please.

Noah dude!!! Also those crusty old guys around here talk about boats back in the day adding beaks to make length too.... and those viking guys boats... kinda like giraffe beaks on those...

THe first real performance beak was when Reggie got a little to enthusiastic at the water front watering hole one night and smoked the breakwall with an excaliber trying to dock it when he got back. Upon his hungover azz seeing the divit he put in the bow the next morning, he actually thought it looked kinda cool being bent the wrong way, stylish even... And that ladies and gentlemen, is how the modern beak was born!!

Double beak?? You either own the ellusive foutain cat that was never killed or you own Reggie's Canoe.....

Double beak would be referring to the fact that I own two Fountains , something easily discovered if you took the time to read my screen bio . Thought you knew something I didn't , apparently not the case . Was honestly asking out of curiosity! If your 22' avanti had a beak you could tell people you owned a 24' boat!

I believe it helps deflect water spray and is also for styling and, yes, other boats have beaks. I think the swim platform and notch play a much bigger factor in reducing actual running surface. I think the beak looks OK.

I always figures it was a length thing.

We have a faster 27, 29, 33, 38, etc, etc than you with the same power thing.

When 1 to 2 feet of the boat was a very lightweight pointed addition of the front of the boat, nicknamed 'the beak' by the public.

He loved to be the fastest !

Edit in: on the 30+ ft's I really like the look.

Fountain "Reggie Fountain" is the name on my boat. My question was how did Reggie and his boats, kinda understood I thought, end up with beaks on his boats. I don't give a f¥ck about the Vikings, giraffes or the attitude you obviously have about Reggie. Noah on the other hand was alright. Other than the fore mention criteria thanks for the input.
