All good points listed for replies. On top of here its dirt dobbers restricting the fuel vent a lot of the times. Also they will knock an outboard engine out within a minute, forming in the air box then getting sucked thru the carbs or the intake track upon start up. Somewhat common issue here with dirt dobbers. . They also like to get into the bilge pump opening and or hose clogging that up.
