How fast 1999 fountain 47 triple 500 carbed?

Had a 2006 triple 525 that ran 89-90 mph.

I ve seen in another add a 2000 carbed running 75 mph... ???

Can t be that much slower than the 525 right?

Lets say it runs 85 mph?

Have been on a 99 triple HP500 carb boat that stock ran 86.

Boat upgraded to triple 800's, runs 96.

what do you mean ?

it's 300 more HP per engine to get 10 mph

that is 30 hp per engine for each 1 mph or

each total 90 more hp gives 1 mph

Thus making the 900 more HP in total the 10 mph

I dont get the 4k per mph...???

I'm guessing price difference between 800SC's and HP500's x 3 then divide that by 10mph

Way to many variables to come to to an exact formula for every application ... Don't even try

Is there something special about the 99 step hulls? 86mph is pretty good slip numbers.

Don't know that there's anything special about this one, full cabin boat. Definitely requires two foot chop to loosen it up to get those speeds.
Full of people, 6 or 8 plus it was still a mid 80 mph boat.
