Prop advice for 35 ex with 525's

Looking for some guidance on props for a 2005 35 ex with 525's. Fresh top ends just completed at Young Performance with new CMI gen X headers. The boat is currently running 30p bravo 4 blades hitting low mid 80's at 5400rpm. Was checking out b blades & the maximus 5 blades. I figured this could be a 90mph boat with the right wheels. Drives are Merc XR's not sure on gear ratio...

Email fountain with the hin and get the original test report. Good starting point.

My 35 Lightning with 525s has 32P Bravo 1s runs right at 90. BBlades or Reggie 3 can also help you.

I run labbed 34's on my '02 35 Lightning (575sci's). However, Ive never had the boat WTFO. Since then, some valve train work from Eddie Young. He took it upstairs while on-water tuning the ECUs (in December!) and I believe he got 98mph before the icicles starting forming on his face. He said it's probably got a couple more mph.

With that said, the 34's suck for getting on plane - I've got some 32's that I run if I know the water is going to be sloppy..

Back in the day Fountain put 4 blade Hydro's or Bravos on the small stepped Fountains that came out of the factory, so many still run those original props. But many have found that the newer Hydo P5-X's are a much more advanced and efficient prop for the Fountains compared to the old 4 bladed props. Same with the more expensive 5 bladed Herrings. They handle better too.
