32 with ls engines
 

Looking thru the classifieds and saw a few 32's with small blocks. Seems like a perfect platform for some ls engines. What do they run with the 330 hp 6.2l's.

I called on one a couple of years ago and was told 65-66

I think some 500-550hp aluminum block LS motors would be a killer package. That would save what 600lbs over the BBC?

Would be nice to get that off the back of a 32.

I just bought a 32 with 377hp Scorpions. It runs 70 at 2100ft altitude. The factory performance report showed 76 but I notice the props were different than what I have on there now. I've only had it out one weekend and plan to switch the props so might see a bit more speed. The Scorpions seem to be good motors, too bad they are not aluminum. The LS would be the way to go but the automotive tuning wouldn't be quite right for a big boat application. In a big boat you don't want to have to wind it up to 6500rpm to get power.
