looking to buy 38 lightning 99-2002
 

I am looking to buy a 99-02 38 lightning and i am searching for a answer to this question. are all 99-02 hulls the same? I hear that the steps were changed around a bit from year to year. can anyone confirm this.

On the 42s the steps are different in those years. The 42 is a seperate animal from all the others. I'm not 100% sure but I think the 38s were the same.

The 38's had small steps and side by side. I think the 2002 would be a "semi" stag and big step.

Look at some one line may be able to tell.

3 different boats. 99-00 small steps side by side. 01 02 is a side by side with the bigger steps and possibly slightly staggered. 03 and up goes from slight stagger to full stagger. when it goes full staggar I think you loose cockpit space. You find one yet??

I haven't found one yet, still searching for the best fit. Of course all this is pending on the sale of my searay
