Does the transom look wet to you guys it does me I would love some help here

I would be concerned about a 30% difference in moisture rates from driest to wettest.

I did a little research on the % on meters. I know nothing about it and don't want to post bad information. My suggestion would do your research on what the % may or may not mean. My post is not suggesting Donzi Matt is not correct, it was just some interesting reading about what causes the readings on the meter.

Call Mid Michigan Fiber Glass. I forget the guys name that owns the place but he is very knowledgeable. I sold by 27 fever and before the guy would by it he got it surveyed and the surveyor said there was moisture in the transom. I didn't believe him and took it to this guy and he tapped on it with a wrench. Kinda sounds weird or dumb, but he said that was the only way to really tell if there are bad spots in a transom. He wanted to drill a few 1/4" holes in the transom where the surveyor said there was more moisture. We did and there was no moisture in the wood shavings at all. He said those meters don't mean anything and obviously does not trust or believe them. Give him a call. I'm glad I did cause I would probably still have a boat with a crappy survey.

I could very well be wrong. I wouldn't write the boat off yet but I would want a knowledgable fiberglass guy to give it a look over first.

Yes definetly have it looked at. I have heard very bad things about wet boats.

Donzi I hope my post didn't come across that your information was incorrect. I think it's a great comment because once it's yours, you're stuck with a mess if it's wet. Dennis good luck!
