Cabin Space 35 Lightning
 

How does the cabin space compare with a single step lightning vs a twin step lightning? I know the twin step has 2 facing couches and the single has the u shape seating. Is one nicer/roomier than the other? I sold my 283 checkmate that had a pretty good sized cabin and cockpit. My wife and I and our 4 year old will overnight 3-4 times a year, so we are trying to decide on a new "family" boat. I am drawn to the fountains due to their speed with stock power and I boat on inland lakes in upstate NY, so rough water handeling not a huge concern.

Are the cockpit sizes the same in these two baots? I think think the side by side fountains have similar if not bigger cockpits than my checkmate had. Thank you for the advice, I am also considering 33 Powerplay, 32 AT if i can find one.

I've got a twin step Lightning, and I can't imagine having a 3rd body sleeping in the cabin. 2 adults is plenty.

Even putting a cushion between the two benches. Still too tight quarters? Any difference between the single steps? Or should I start looking more at 38s?
