holy smokes. I burn 50+ gph cruising at 55 in a 35 footer! Sonics hulls are made of unicorn breath?

That is 2 mpg, not bad for any boat. Let alone a 45 footer.

Is that figure based on imperial gallons?

No straight bottom trip 45 gets 2mpg planed off. Check your math.

How big is the tank in a 42? I thought they usually get around .9mpg or something like that cruising

Also, remove the third outdrive and exhaust tips, patch up all of the holes, replace the dash and throttles for twin setup. Has anyone else done this themselves?
We are doing one now, triples to twin staggered. It's a ton of work. New stringers, transom, etc. All new motor mounts I can do on and on. In the end it will be worth it. I've taken forever to do it as it was my own personal boat. Had a lot of issues that kept me from working on it. I've sold it and we are finishing it now. All new power, everything has been gone thru, new paint and interior. It's going to be amazing when done.
