38 with 700s
 

Who has or had a 38 with 700s w 6 drives what props are you using @ what speeds ?

I had an 08 and it ran 122 plus with 39 pitch 6 blade Herrings. It had a stage two Whipple mod and Brian Forehand did the bottom. Also 1:50 ratio.

122! That is moving, nice set-up

What about stock setup props ? I have 17.25 36 15 r 5 blade and hits the limiter about 90 .

With the same 39 pitch props it ran 114. I think that it was turning around 5300 or so rpm's.

Still 6 blade ? did you have vent tubes ? thats quite a bit of difference from mine .

It was with the 6 blades and it did have vent tubes. You probably know but the vent tubes do not help the speed. The boat was also no speed demon getting on plane.

Mine does not have vent tube I would most likely have to put them on with 6 blades. Do you remember prop diameter , rake , rake ect Hering or Merc ?

17.25 diameter, 16 degree rake, 6 blade Herrings. They came on the boat from the Factory

that is 25% slip at 5300 rpm 1.50 ratio .maybe the rake is to low .I was running 18 rake and tried 21 and made all the difference in speed and handling

Yes that was before the upgrades.

I just got my perf report after the fact it show,s 1.35 gears and they ran 34 6 blade Hering props @ 115 , I have some 17 38.5 6 blade Hering,s coming . How accurate are these reports ?
