Non-Step 35 -- Props in or Out?
When I bought my boat the props are spinning out, I keep reading the benefit of spinning in, but most are stepped hulls. What are guys that have non-stepped hulls running?
Will spinning in give me more bow lift? Thank you |

Most fountains came from factory and were built to spin in. The ole phrase "spin in to win" lol

I'm trying out some new props. Maybe I'll switch them to spin in and see what the boat likes

I spin ours in on our flat bottom, Been like that since we owned it. Not sure how the boat acts with them spinning out however with them spinning in at WOT @ 80mph the steering is pretty touchy.

So I put on the new props on spinning out, from about 70 up to 80 it feels pretty squirmy, didn't run over 80. Bravo 30's not labbed. Had some fueling issues on one motor and blower issues on the other so I just went in.

I spin mine out, it runs good, handles great, very good around the docks, feels very stable at top speed, 28P. Hydromotive Q4's

I have tried mine both ways. They felt better spinning out to me. It felt like she got on top a little quicker so I guess there was some stern lift benefit from it. The real change in mine was when I changed to a five blade hydro props. Talking about popping up on top? Man she just jumps up now. They are much smoother than the four blade Bravos I was running as well. Now when I get above 80 mph she is setting right up on the pad. I can get so much air under it now when I get close to 90 MPH she wants to dance a little. So for the first time I find myself trimming down a hair. I would recommend these props if you want lift.

Hey lucky how are the drives holding up to the 5 blades ?
