97 29ft need adjust tabs
want to adjust tabs and the mechanical indicator. what is proper way? Plus i notice that on hydro cylinder on tabs there is a spacer?? does that belong there?
|
I have no idea if it is the correct way of doing it or not. But just for the heck of it I placed a digital protractor on the hull. Than zeroed it and placed it on the trim tabs and it was so darn close I didn't touch it.

Thanks for info great idea.

As far as the spacer in concerned yes it's supposed to be there. Reggie put it on the smaller boats so you can't go past neutral with the tabs.

Okay great to know and what is suppose to be neutral on indicator 3?? or i guess what im asking is when tabs flush with botton of hull should the indicator be on 0 or 3?

With the cable off the tab. Move the tab all the way up and down. Make sure the cable can move through the range with out pushing or pulling out of the thru hull fitting. Get a 4 ft level and make your tabs level with the bottom. Look at you indicators and make that position. Do fine adjustments with the threaded cable end
Hope this helps |
thanks guys much appreciated
