Time For a Change

After 6 great seasons and many memories made, it's time for a new chapter. Hoping to find a dedicated Fountain fan to carry on the legacy.

GLWS. Mind telling future plans??

Padraig 11-25-2016 07:27 AM

Beautiful boat, Kelly. Good luck with the sale. Hope it stays in NY.

Agreed that this is a real beauty! I've seen it in action at the ROPA run on Seneca, and it not only looks great, it runs great!

GLWS, it should "moooooove" fast! :D

mcprodesign 11-25-2016 08:19 AM

Wow Shocked! Guess it's time for a bigger cow! Like a 42 w dry sixxes !!

Crude Intentions 11-25-2016 08:41 AM

Awesome boat. GLWS. I guess after owning this boat the only thing that would do is a 42 PR. A standard 700/6 42 has nothing on this one. Lol

Kelly O 11-25-2016 11:25 AM

I do hope it stays somewhat local so I could finally get to enjoy hearing and watching it run.

Can't say what is next for sure, the boats that are clean enough and perform well enough to replace this one are few and far between.

Worst case scenario is I get to keep it and continue embarrassing bigger 'faster' boats.

A relief to hear that you will be looking for something to "perform well enough to replace this one."
I was getting worried that maybe the wifey got you into a totally cruiser or (GASP!) pontoon mood.

GLWS. We made drastic changes ourselves, after been boaters for life. Bought a cruiser 6 yrs ago, but kept the Fountain for the speed fix. But those speed fixes never happened, so boat sat for 5 yrs. Sold it last fall. Then sold the cruiser/slip/ and lift this summer. Out of boating all together at this time. Now we are hard core Harley riders, road tripping every weekend. Everywhere we go, its always new people, new stories, new adventures. We will be back into boating though. Its a passion.

Expected some debate about the performance of this boat, the Facebook community has not disappointed.

The boat's condition and performance speaks for itself......but it is winter !!

Crude Intentions 11-28-2016 01:47 PM

Really only one jackass is debating it. Darr cause he knows best. Haha

VoodooRob 11-28-2016 05:10 PM

Saw your post on Facebook so i thought I would read thru the comments from the community......wow, you can't make this stuff up.

That boat originally had 700s IIRC or am I wrong? Either way, that machine has always been one of my favorite David vs Goliath boats (beats up on the big boys). I could only imagine if years ago when I had a 35 it had that kind of power and drives. May not be here today. Lol

Beautiful boat, GLWS

Good luck with the sell Kelly - and thanks for the advice on our old 35 Lightning. It finally cracked 100mph!

ARB38 12-02-2016 03:19 PM

Kelly, good luck with the sale of your Fountain. Boats like yours are far and few between and who ever ends up with it will have a very good and unique ride.

Thanks, makes the decision to sell very difficult. If a deal is not made, the decision to keep it will be easy.

[QUOTE=easyrider1340;4506153]Good luck with the sell Kelly

Thank you, good to hear the setup worked for your old boat. That 42 of yours looks great.

RBH 12-03-2016 04:12 PM

Kelly good luck on the sale, she is one bad 35 for sure! Keep Ken in line with the new MTI.......I know you guys will have a blast in her. Be Safe!!
Funny had our 42 6 years this month, just bought a 38 center console .

Little bump here for you.

We thinking a little "Meow" here?

Who knows ? Actually, I bet there are some that know. They just need to tell me what I'm going to do.

If only I could easily make this boat black and white for you !

Who knows, good brush and a steady hand, I've seen some pretty fine work done.

mcprodesign 12-13-2016 05:43 PM

You need a 42 like RBH . Not dissing your awesome 35 . But a 42 with sixes would make you forget about the 35. For a while snyway . I miss my old smaller boat sometimes . But not to often. Then again you know what you got with the 35/. I know . I am absolutly no help . Ha ha

Kelly O 12-19-2016 05:47 AM

Thanks for all the well wishes. I have no doubt the boat will find a home where it can continue to create memories while fueling continuous bench racing.

42's are great hulls that no doubt have an advantage when it gets real rough- so rough that it's not even fun to be boating. This boat's combination really is special, providing rough water driveability that embarrasses boats much bigger while providing smooth water handling and efficiency that challenges many catamarans.
